Independent of the ‘appearance’ (all that is made by mankind out of earth’s resources) is made linear or circular, it is important to preserve those resources with the highest possible quality after use. Is the ‘appearance’ linear, the raw materials can be downcycled. Is it circular, then it’s important to preserve that circularity and to not reduce the quality during the reuse process.
For maximizing reuse, the appearance should be dissected into all original applied resources. Then it’s important to capture that information and determine how and by whom the resources can be reused at the highest level of quantity and quality.
Rendemint has developed a method to maximize reuse. The ReNtry®-module makes it possible to dissect ‘appearances’ into the original resources, and to capture the reuse potential information for each individual resource, including the party who is able to realize that reuse.
ReNtry® is part of the circular procurement and tendering method PRP®, and represents within the PRP® contract the legal guarantee of maximizing resources.

ReNtry®, how does it work?
An ‘appearance’ (product or project), has a mass which is a combination of resources which are extracted from the circular system of the earth. There is also resource used to produce the ‘appearance’. The total of these resources is the initial circular mass. During use, the resources are bound in the appearance. After use, refurbishment or adjusting the ‘appearance’, the resources become available again. The total of those resources is the end mass, the end mass is analyzed within the ReNtry® system, to determine what part of the end mass is still circular and what part has been reduced to a different The ReNtry® system identifies both the initial circular mass and the end mass, captures the data and compares the data.

Differentiate the mass
Within the ReNtry® system the initial and end mass are differentiated into different reutilization levels: the maximized level of reuse possible, with the available technology of that moment. The initial and end mass, once dissected into individual resources, are assessed against the criteria of the various reutilization levels.
A large portion, or possibly all, of the end mass shall possibly never meet the circular criteria and shall fit, after differentiation, one of the ‘linear’ levels. This is not 'good' or 'bad' but merely an observation that that part of the end mass is ’non-circular’.
The system is not a certificate. It has no ‘score’. It just a makes clear distinction between circular and non-circular. If (a part of) the end mass is non-circular, then that part is linear. Within linear reutilization there are different levels. Downcycling represents the highest linear level and thermal recycling (incineration) the least. ReNtry® is a transition tool in which the actual circular result is measured and generates a true material and resource passport.
